The Northamptonshire branch of the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (RSPCA) has a hub in Rushden’s Newton Centre. It is opposite Rushden Library.
Their Newton Centre hub is a site for furry friends to meet up and relax. They can come with their owners who can sit and have a cup of coffee.
Tracey Smith is the Community Welfare Co-ordinator for RSPCA Northamptonshire and she is based at the hub.
They also have a visiting dog and cat (though on different days), so people can come in and experience the companionship of an animal even though they have not got one of their own.
Working with a team of volunteers, Tracey runs a Pet Food Bank and Community Space.
