Forget about that little 4th of July thing over in Washington. The Big Show was here in Wellingborough.
The 2026 Wellingborough Carnival lasted an hour and it was a visual treat:
- “Rust Bucket” cars
- Carnival Queens
- Bands
- Gymnasts performing mid-air summersaults
- A cuddly “bear”
- A pantomime dinosaur
Many performers threw packets of sweets to the crowds, while others fired water-pistols at the revellers.
Our photographs give a glimpse of the colour and excitement of the event, but just a glimpse. To really get the vibes, you had to be there.
