On Sunday 7th June, Rushden’s annual Soapbox Derby will once again take place in Hall Park.
It is free to enter, and free to watch.
The race course, running down the drive from the main gate towards the Hall, is marked out with bales of hay, which provided a cushion on both sides of the track to prevent injuries.
The competitors will be divided into three classes, according to the age of the driver.
Class A – 6-11 Years
Class B – 12-16 Years
Class C – 17 & Over
It is a fantastic family event in the Town’s calendar, and well worth coming to see.
