Rushden Town Council (RTC) has a large property portfolio, with 46 parks and open spaces. Maintaining all those parks is not cheap and is the main reason why Rushden’s council tax is roughly £100 higher than in the former Boroughs (Corby, Kettering, and Wellingborough).
On Tuesday 22nd of September, Rushden Town Council (RTC) held an Extraordinary Council Meeting.
At the meeting, the RTC members voted unanimously to award a five-year contract (with an option for a two year extension) for grounds maintenance to Turney Landscapes. This had been recommended by the Grounds Maintenance Working party after an extensive tender process.
The contract value will exceed £1,000,000.
