Canoe2 is one of the things that make Rushden Lakes special. They rent out ‘swans’ (see photo), and canoes for trippers.
The boathouse is behind House of Fraser and runs down to the major lake.
In July, the Crown Estate who own Rushden Lakes applied for planning permission to extend their facility so that they could re-locate.
Rushden Town Council supported their plan, and on 17th September 2026, planning consent for the extension was granted.
