Twilight Walk

March 28th saw Rushden’s 3rd annual Twilight Walk.

The Walk was started by Diane Devereux, whose husband Dean died from a brain tumour in 2022.  The walk and stalls raised money for the Brain Tumour Charity.

The weather was perfect, as the walkers set off from Rushden Hall on the walk

It had been raining earlier, but the rain ceased and the sun shone on the walkers.

The walkers strode downhill out of Hall Park, into the centre of Rushden and then turned south along High Street South. They then walked up Wymington Road and circled round before re-entering Hall Park from the north.

Stalls were set up at the start/finish line, along with Beat Route Radio Station’s outside broadcast van.

Rushden’s Town Mayor, Cllr. Gill Mercer, was there to wish the walkers well and wave them off.

The event wasn’t a rival to Wellingborough’s Waendel Walk, but it was a wonderful afternoon, with weather to match.
