On Saturday 7th March, Rushden Town Band had a big win. They won the Midlands Area Brass Band Championships first Section.
Their conductor is Adele Sellers Hudson. She is a talented conductor and music teacher. She also conducts the Oundle School Jazz Orchestra.
Rushden Town Band will now compete in the National Championships in September at York Barbican.
The Band give regular performances in Rushden, such as the annual “Proms in the Park” in the Walled Garden in Rushden’s Hall Park.
