On 23 February 2026, Rotary around the world was celebrating World Rotary Day. This marks the date 121 years ago that Paul Harris founded the first Rotary Club in Chicago.
Over the time that followed, Rotary has united millions of people who have worked to build one of the most powerful forces for doing good in the world. Rotary Clubs locally, like Rotary Club of Rushden (founded in 1935), are continuing to attract new members and work hard to support the local community and provide help where needed overseas.
Rotary Club of Rushden has recently linked with Rushden Lakes to offer ink cartridge recycling. Any used cartridges can be recycled by popping into Customer Services (near M&S) at Rushden Lakes.
For each cartridge recycled, The Rotary Club of Rushden will receive up to £2 to support local and international causes.
