NNC’s annual budget for 2026/2027 was approved at Full Council on Thursday 19th February 2026. Among the highlights are:
- The annual charge for garden waste collection rises to £62 per year (an increase of 24%)
- Council Tax will increase by 4.99%. For Band D properties, NNC’s Council Tax within North Northamptonshire rises to £1,918.23.
- Second properties and properties that have been empty for more than a year will now be subject to Council Tax.
- Council house rents will increase by 4.8%
This is the first annual Budget produced by the Reform-led Council.
