King Edward Pub Re-opens

The King Edward pub in Queen Street in Rushden has new owners, who have just re-opened it.

A spokesman for the new owners said:

“I’m delighted to announce that I have officially taken over The King Edward pub in Rushden!”

“After a lot of hard work behind the scenes, we’ve completed the lease, and the next chapter begins. There’s plenty going on over the coming weeks as we get everything ready for opening, and we can’t wait to welcome you through the doors.”

On Friday 14th of September, the pub was officially re-opened by Rushden’s Town Mayor, Cllr. Janet Pinnock. She said:

“With so many public houses closing around us, I am so pleased to see a part of the heritage of Rushden opening once again.”

The pub was full for the opening and the Mayor said,

“It’s up to all of us to keep it running by supporting it.”
