We have had a Summer of roadworks and local road users were hoping that it was over. Unfortunately, they are out of luck.
National Highways are planning a series of overnight roadworks for the A45 between Thrapston and Raunds.
The A45 will have closures during weekdays (Monday to Friday), from 9pm to 6am.
It will start on Monday 5th October and run to Thursday 26th November 2026.
• From Monday 5th October to Tuesday 6th October, there will be 4-way temporary traffic lights at the Raunds A45 roundabout.
• from Monday 5th October to Thursday 26th November, the A45 between Thrapston and Raunds will be closed overnight in both directions.
• on Friday 20th November, there will be “roundabout management” at the Thrapston roundabout
The works will include:
* resurfacing
* clearing vegetation
* drainage
* refreshing road markings
National Highways state that diversions will be signposted, but users of the A45 are advised to plan for disruption.
