Wellingborough’s Swanspool Pavilion and Gardens are to be refurbished!
Wellingborough Town Council has received a grant from The Community Ownership Fund to give a complete facelift to the historic building and gardens.
The Pavilion will be made over in an Art Deco style. It will include alterations for a new cafe seating area, a new kitchen and new toilets.
An events room will be created by merging the main hall and the trophy room. (They will still be usable separately.)
The renovated building will support weddings, parties, meetings and community activities.
The works will start in May and be completed in August this year.
A spokesman for Wellingborough Town Council, said:
˜I would like to thank all those that have helped to obtain this grant. It is our intention to provide a beautiful pavilion and gardens for all the citizens of Wellingborough to enjoy.”
