On Saturday 22nd November, several streets in the centre of Higham Ferrers were closed off. Cars and lorries were replaced by fun-fair rides and stalls.
The event spanned the Methodist Church, St Mary’s Church, the Bede House and the Working Men’s Club with Santa’s Grotto and the reindeer also at Chichele College.
There were many stalls offering food and crafts to purchase. Charities and community groups also had stalls. Local schools also performed as well as Bedford Morris Men.
Organised by Higham Town Council, the ”Higham Sparkle” was held to celebrate the switching on of the Town’s Christmas Lights.
