A new niche shop opened in Rushden on Saturday 14th November. In an opening ceremony, Rushden’s Town Mayor, Cllr Gill Mercer, made a short speech and cut the ribbon.
UVR Collections is a unique family-run business that offers fashion, accessories and more. It is not part of any “chain” and can offer low prices because it imports its goods directly from India and, therefore, cuts out the “middle-man”. Neither is there any remote HQ that needs to be supported.
The owner, Ankit Patel, has a vision to provide high quality fashion at fair and reasonable prices, making style accessible to everyone.
Although Rushden has lost High Street shops recently (e.g., Cancer Research), the opening of another completely new retailer (Latte opened on 7 November) shows that the High Street is not dead and can attract businesses to the town.
