Many employers are adopting a work arrangement where employees work at home and spend only some of their time at an office desk. North Northamptonshire Council (NNC) is in the process of reviewing its assets and has already sold off some properties.
A recent press release from NNC shows the impact of this policy:
“Due to space constraints, it will not be possible for all staff to be in the office at the same time.“
Meanwhile, Incomes Data Research (IDR) have reported that:
“… 63 percent of employers currently require a minimum number of in-person working days for roles that could otherwise be completed remotely. A further 6 percent plan to introduce similar policies.”
This is clearly an area that is in flux.
